DropLeash ("we," "our," or "us") operates the dropleash.app website and service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use DropLeash, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, business name, and tagline.
• Branding data: brand colors, uploaded logo, and profile preferences.
• Dog and client data: dog names, breeds, ages, owner names, and contact information that you enter into the platform.
• Session data: training session notes, behavior ratings, focus areas, and environment details.
• Report data: AI-generated reports based on your session data, plus any edits you make to those reports.
• Billing information: payment details are processed and stored by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, but never your credit card numbers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the DropLeash service.
• Generate AI-powered training reports from your session data.
• Apply your branding to reports and PDFs.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Communicate with you about your account and service updates.
• Improve our service and fix issues.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services to operate DropLeash:

• Supabase: hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account data, dog records, sessions, and reports are stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
• Stripe: processes payments and manages subscriptions. Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic: powers our AI report generation. When you generate a report, your session data (dog info, ratings, notes) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to create the report content. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use:

• Authentication cookies: to keep you signed in across sessions.
• Local storage: for demo usage tracking on the landing page.

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including dogs, sessions, reports, branding, and billing information — is permanently deleted. This process is immediate and irreversible.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data at any time through the DropLeash dashboard.
• Correct your personal information through your profile settings.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the profile page.
• Export your reports as PDF files.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You can do this directly from the profile page by deleting your account. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Children's Privacy

DropLeash is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the service. Your continued use of DropLeash after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
